Sixth form students at some international schools in Hong Kong, as well as all UK boarding schools, are required to take 3-4 subjects related to their intended field of study at university.
The two-year GCE A Level chemistry course is taught over Years 12 & 13, and — with the change to the GCE curriculum in 2017— students now sit for their exams at the end of Year 13.
